Brett Anderson
Over 25 Years of Electrical Engineering Experience
Since joining HECO in 2017, Brett has played a significant role in expanding our electrical engineering department. He is a key member of our team and assists in broadening our service offerings to our clients.

Brett is an outdoorsman who enjoys good music, brushing up on his drumming, flying drones with his son, and spending time with family.
WORK HISTORY & EXPERTISE
After completing college, Brett served in the United States Air Force for 10
years where he was involved in aviation all over the world. In 1997, he began
his career in electrical engineering at Hewlett Packard in Boise as a Project
Engineer and Project Manager. Throughout his career, he has been
involved extensively in Electrical Engineering and associated Project
Management of buildings and systems in the following industries: Electronics
Manufacturing (PCB), Water and Waste Water Lift Stations and Treatment
Plants, Industrial Plants/Facilities, Municipal Facilities, Historical Building
Renovation, Large Multi-Family Residential Buildings, Senior Living Facilities,
Memory Care Facilities, Surgical Centers, MRI Facilities, Dialysis Centers,
Hospitals, Retail Malls, Commercial Buildings, Restaurants, Manufacturing
Campuses, Medium Voltage Electrical Infrastructure Systems (up to 35kV),
National Park Service facilities, Idaho Fish and Game Facilities, ACHD and ITD
Facilities, Large Semiconductor Facilities, (OSM) Offsite Manufactured
Electrical Structures, Data Centers, and Aviation/Airport facility Design. Brett
has been heavily involved in the design of large Power Generation Systems to
include Large Generator Systems, Large UPS Systems and Renewable Energy
Systems to include Large Solar (PV) Systems.
In addition to design functions, Brett has been heavily involved in Power
Studies, Thermal Imaging of Gear, Inspection of Switchgear, Arc Flash Studies
and Numerous Condition Assessments of Existing Facilities.
In his spare time, Brett loves to spend time outdoors, including camping and
fishing. Brett is passionate about music and has been an active drummer
since age seven. Brett also loves flying drones and spending time with famil
