Rick McKee, PMP
Over 30 Years of Experience
Rick has extensive experience with project management that has served him well and added significant value in his few years thus far with HECO.
OUT OF THE OFFICE
Rick is a Boise native and has resided here most of his life, with the exception of a few years spent in Lehi, Utah; Manasses, Virginia; and Japan. He has been married for over 20 years and him and his wife have two sons. He enjoys staying busy with home projects as well as skiing, biking, and hiking in the great outdoors. He also does volunteer work for his church.
WORK HISTORY & EXPERTISE
Not long before joining HECO, Rick retired from Micron after 30-year career where he managed hundreds of local, regional, and international projects. Rick established two project management offices, one for a site of 1,500 employees and one strategic project management office, responsible for managing global projects and programs that affect multiple sites. At Micron, he was on their core integration team participating in fifteen different mergers and acquisitions, successfully supporting acquisition with necessary due diligence and business integration. Rick also has over 15 years of experience using AutoCAD and has left his mark having designed many of Micron’s factory layouts. Since joining the HECO family, he has served as the project manager on several NPS task orders where he’s responsible for achieving and monitoring all aspects of the project including scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while leading the project team and collaborating with the client manager. Nonetheless, Rick is a valuable asset on our team.

Education & Training
- Boise State University, 1986-1988
- PMP (Professional Project Management) Certification, 2011
The entire USFS Multnomah Project Team responded to a difficult client in a professional, responsive manner and as a cohesive team. They took a client relationship that was negative and moved that relationship back to neutral and hopefully positive through the applications of HECO Golden Rule principles. Well done!
