HECO was recently selected by the State of Idaho and awarded a contract with the Department of Public Works! Our contract will last for three years and cover a large variety of projects across the southwest region of Idaho. The selection was based on a competitive qualifications process by the department’s Principals and Technical Personnel. HECO will be assisting the State of Idaho with an anticipated scope of work including remodels, electrical maintenance, and additional studies associated with the proposed projects. Locations will range from Capitol Mall, Boise State University, and other state buildings stretching as far as Twin Falls.

The selection of HECO was based heavily on our specialization in assisting our clients with electrical rehabilitation, code compliance issues, system expansions, and resolving issues with deteriorating equipment. We have a unique understanding of small systems both in their original design and current operational state. Our extensive experience includes assessing and addressing infrastructure issues at recreational facilities for the National Parks Service and other government entities. During the process, the State of Idaho placed a major emphasis on selecting firm’s with a proven history of executing small projects on a structured schedule. Additional emphasis was placed on our ability to provide on-site administration and service.
