Rehabilitate Fire System

Due to prolonged and severe winter conditions, excessive damage was caused to the current wet pipe systems within the fire suppression systems of park housing units. The project rehabilitated deteriorated fire hydrants and fire suppression system piping, replacing wet-pipe sprinkler systems in five housing units with dry pipe systems and replacing/rebuilding five fire hydrants. To ensure reliable water service to the fire protection system, the fire pump and its control; the submersible well pump, level sensor and control, and mechanical room piping layout were evaluated. Any reconfiguration of waterline service to the structures to allow effective winterization was addressed in the rehabilitation and replacement work.
