New Plymouth Road Improvements Project

WHO WE ARE

New Plymouth, Idaho

The purpose of the project was to rehabilitate and widen a total of 3350 feet of roadway surface to three lanes, and construct new Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter, Catch Basins and Stormwater Drainage System. The project area was East Idaho Street between US Route 30/North Plymouth Avenue and Holly Avenue, and Holly Avenue between East Idaho Street and NW 1st Avenue. A main railway line and pass line of the Idaho Pacific Railroad Company (IPRC) crosses Holly Avenue (crossing # DOT819790A) at milepost 11.22.  This segment of the road is a major part of a multi-jurisdictional roadway system which is used for moving product from farm to market as well as recreational and residential traffic.  The improvements greatly aided in the continuation of these uses as well as enhanced the safety of the community.
